Dawn started dancing in 1975 at Karen Mitchel's Prestwick Dance School and moved to Dansarena Studios when it opened in 1984.At seventeen Dawn successfully auditioned for the prestigious three year teacher training diploma course at the Royal Academy of Dance, College in London. In her third year there, she won the 'Generosity of Spirit' prize in recognition of her passion and love of dance teaching.She has been teaching at Dumfries since her graduation from College in 1993 and has managed the school for over 12 years and relishes her role as Business Partner.Dawn is a mentor for the RAD CBTS Teacher Training Programme and is also a mentor for the RADs Professional Dancers Postgraduate Teachers Certificate.She feels privileged and blessed that she is able to pass on her expertise and love of dance to all her pupils.
